Coldplay to Release New Track "Higher Power" Next Week

British rock band Coldplay will release a new track entitled "Higher Power" next Friday, May 7.

The track is produced by pop songwriting supremo Max Martin and arrives after they teased on social media a new project called "Alien Radio", earlier this week.

The band confirmed Thursday the track’s arrival on Twitter, tweeting: “Higher Power is a song that arrived on a little keyboard and a bathroom sink at the start of 2020. It was produced by Max Martin who is a true wonder of the universe. It’s out on Friday 7 May. Love c, g, w & j.”

Earlier this year, reports claimed that the band is working on their ninth studio album called "Music Of The Spheres".

According to The Sun, a source close to the band revealed that they have been recording new music throughout the coronavirus lockdown, which is set to feature on the album.

The band released in 2019 their last album "Everyday Life".
