Trending pro wrestling star CM Punk made his along-waited return to the WWE after 9 years, on Sunday, after the events of WWE Survivor Series War Games.
Punk made his return moments before the event went off the air to fulfill a wish for all his fans to see him back home.
WWE teased the appearance of CM Punk during its weekly shows by using various symbols and codes.
However, the return of Punk was kept secret, and only a few persons in the administration were informed.
After his return, it was teased that the first feud for Punk would be against WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins.
Fightful highlighted that Punk signed the deal with the WWE a few hours before the Survivor Series, which was hosted in Punk's hometown, Chicago, and it is a three-year deal.
During the press conference, Triple H expressed that the deal between the WWE and Punk reached quickly.
Punk made his WWE exit back in 2014, and left the scene of pro-wrestling for seven years, before making a return in 2021, and signing with AEW, before his release last September.
