Head of EgyptAir Holding Company Yehia Zakaria said his country has received more than 1,200 requests from Chinese tourism companies to organize tourist trips to Egypt, through his company's trips.

During a press conference held today, Friday, at Cairo Airport, Zakaria added that airlines always welcome the transfer of all tourist groups from around the world to visit Egypt, according to the "Masrawy" website.

His remarks came on the sidelines of the arrival of the first Chinese tourist delegation to Egypt. Zakaria noted that starting next March, there will be an increase in the operation of "EgyptAir" flights, to reach 13 flights to Chinese cities, while providing all facilities for travelers between the two countries.

Seven flights will be operated to Guangzhou, 3 to Beijing, and 3 to Hanzhou, as part of the regular operation process as it was before the pandemic, according to the Egyptian official.

Zakaria revealed that there are discussions to operate flights to Shanghai in the near future, expressing his appreciation for all efforts made to restore air traffic between the two countries.

He pointed out that the Minister of Aviation agreed with the Chinese ambassador to resume air traffic again, in order to support the movement of tourism, trade, and passengers between the two countries, as well as "good relations".
