The Central Bank of Sudan denied what was circulated on social media about an announcement of issuing a new 1,000-pound banknote.
The central bank confirms that it will not put this category for circulation, bearing in mind that the announcement is old. It was published by the central bank in the newspapers in September of 2019, the central bank added.
The bank calls on all citizens not to pay attention to such rumors.
