A source said that French coach Patrice Carteron agreed on Wednesday to terminate his ongoing contract with Saudi's Al-Taawoun and close to moving to lead Zamalek of Egypt once again.

Carteron has been named for the first time as the White Knights' boss last year, as he guided them to claim Egypt Super Cup, and the CAF Super Cup titles, before leaving to Al-Taawoun in September.

The source also added that the French coach could land in Cairo on Wednesday to lead the White Knights, ahead of their decisive match against ES Tunis in the CAF Champions League on Tuesday.

On Tuesday,

Head of Egypt’s National Press Authority Karam Gabr said on his official Facebook page, " A good news for Zamalek's fans. Carteron is the new boss and he will land in Cairo on Thursday."

These reports came after the future of the current coach Jaime Pacheco became in doubt, following the bad results of the first team, which could lead them to be knocked out of the CAF Champions League.
