Sweet Potatoes, Apples Cake Recipe with Cinnamon

Cakes are one of the most favorable desserts to both adults and children especially during the winter. They are a great way to add in extra nutrients. Sweet potatoes and apples have been added to today’s cake recipe. They are full of antioxidants that help improve the immunity and fight diseases. Here are the details

Ingredients:

− 2 cups of flour.

− 1 cup of boiled or grilled sweet potatoes (preferably grilled). You can also use 1 cup of flour instead of the sweet potatoes.

− 5 eggs.

− 1 ½ cups of sugar.

− 1 cup of fatty substance (oil or butter).

− 1 packet of (baking powder).

− 1 teaspoon of baking soda.

− 1 cup of yogurt.

− 2 teaspoons of cinnamon.

• For the topping

− 2 chopped apples.

− 2 tablespoons of sugar.

− 1 teaspoon of cinnamon.

− The juice from one whole lemon.

Delicious cake with apple and cinnamon

Instructions:

− Over medium heat, add the chopped apples, lemon juice, sugar, and cinnamon. Stir everything together till completely caramelized. Take off the heat and set aside to cool (you can add some butter too).

− Using a blender, blend the eggs, fatty substance, yogurt, and sugar together till well combined before adding in the vanilla and baking soda.

− In a bowl, sift the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon before mixing the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients to form a cake batter.

− Pour the cake batter into a baking pan before adding the caramelized apples on top. (you can add some nuts or dates).

− Preheat your oven at 160 degrees C for 5 minutes before placing your cake in it. Let it cook for half an hour.

(Make sure to use the same measuring cup for measuring all your ingredients.)
