Cairo Stadium Prepares for CAF CL Final Crowning Ceremony

Cairo International Stadium is witnessing Thursday, rehearsals for the CAF Champions League Final clash, which brings Zamalek against Al Ahly on Friday at 21:00 CLT.

The match will witness the presence of Cairo Stadium, Confederation of African Football (CAF) and Football Association officials, and preparations are made for the coronation ceremony.

The stadium is scheduled to open at five in the afternoon and will close its gates at eight in the evening, Friday.

Security services have completed all preparations needed for securing the match that will be held with no fans' attendance, and audience is limited to members of Al Ahly and Zamalek Boards of Directors and some sports figures.

Meanwhile, Ashraf Sobhi, Egypt's Minister of Youth and Sports, affirmed that Cairo International Stadium will be ready and in its best form to host the CAF Champions League final.

"The field of Cairo Stadium is constructed in accordance with highest levels and has a technology that allows it to absorb water in case it rained at any time," Sobhi said in statements via Ontime Sports channel.

"We reallocated the match from Borg Al Arab, Alexandria, to Cairo in order to please the fans and get the match out in a decent manner." he concluded.
