The Brazilian Vice President Hamilton Mourao stressed that the operation of a direct flight between Cairo and Sao Paulo is necessary to facilitate trade movement between the two countries, and enhance intra-regional trade, indicating that it will be activated soon.

During the press conference held on the sidelines of the opening of the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, Mourao said that breaking the barrier of distance between Egypt and Brazil is one of the most important priorities that the two governments will work on, explaining that the will of investors wishing to develop their investments in both countries will help.

He stated that governments will work hard to provide all possible facilities that would break barriers between the two countries. "We are counting on the Mercosur agreement to increase trade exchange between the two countries, in parallel with the role of the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce in Cairo."

Regarding the meat crisis that emerged recently in Brazil, Mourao said that there is no current crisis, stressing that his country represents a large agricultural area and exports products to several countries.

He pointed out that his country intends to pump more investments into Egypt over the next few years through several industries, pointing out that his country aims to transfer its experience with developing the agricultural sector to Egypt, and exchange technological expertise in modern industry.

Mourao pointed to the possibility of transferring Brazilian agricultural technology to Egypt to support increased production, stressing that there are consultations for cooperation in the defense field between the two countries.
