Cairo Opera House Celebrates with 30th Arab Music Fest.

The Minister of Culture Dr. Enas Abdel Dayem and Cairo Opera House Director Dr. Magdy Saber will attend the opening ceremony of the 30th Arab Music Festival and Conference on Monday, November 1, at the Fountain Theater.

Regarding the schedule of the opening ceremony, it will start with a speech by Abdel Dayem, the director of Cairo Opera House, and the director of the festival.

Next, there will be a segment about this edition’s tributes. 19 artists will be rewarded during the event including Medhat Al Adl, Marwan Khoury, Hesham Nazih, Khaled Al-Amir, Abady El Gohar, Gamal Salama, and Abdou Dagher, alongside others.

After that, the culture minister will step into the stage and play the flute alongside a number of talented musicians for paying a tribute to the late Gamal Salama. The ensemble will be conducted by Nayer Nagui.

It will be followed by another tribute to the departed icon Abdou Dagher, the performance will be conducted by Hany Farahat.

In the same context, two documentary films about the late figures will be screened during the ceremony, alongside a documentary feature about the history of the festival.

Calligraphy exhibition will be also organized on the sidelines of the festival’s kicking off at Salah Taher Hall and Zeyad Baker Hall.

On the other hand, Bibliotheca Alexandrina will host the first concert of the festival in Alexandria for Lebanese star Assi El Hallani.
