The US President Joe Biden’s Coronavirus test for Thursday is still positive, however, the President expressed that he was feeling very well, Reuters reported.
President Joe Biden suffered again from some of the COVID-19 symptoms such as loose cough which the experts defined as a Paxlovid rebound.
Biden’s physician said in a statement: “The president continues to feel well, though he is experiencing a bit of a return of a loose cough,” adding: “He remains fever-free and in good spirits.”
The US President finalized his isolation term last Wednesday after testing negative for the virus and ending a five-day course of Paxlovid.
He was retested for the virus and the results the latest test were positive. His symptoms sparked questions about the aftermath of Paxlovid.
O’Connor didn’t decide if Biden will undergo a second course of the antiviral drug, however, Dr. Anthony Fauci, repeated the course twice after feeling Paxlovid rebound in June
Fauci told Morning Joe last week: “When you look at the studies, it generally does not occur very often.” He expressed that the rebounds are now more common now than the clinical trials.
In the same context, Dr. Ashish Jha, the White House COVID-19 response coordinator, said in May that the rebound of the infections would “not leading to people getting particularly sick.”
Last Wednesday, the White House announced that President Joe Biden recovered from Coronavirus and returned to work, 5 days after he entered isolation after contracting Covid-19.
