Barcelona coach Quique Setien announced the list of his team summoned to travel to the Portuguese city of Lisbon to face Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-finals on Friday.

Barcelona and Bayern Munich will do battle once again on Friday, August 14 at the Estadio Da Luz in Lisbon in the quarter-final of the Champions League, yet despite the two teams have faced off on multiple occasions, this is much more than a football match.

The last competitive occasion where they shared a pitch was in 2015 when Luis Enrique's Barcelonadismantled the Bavarian club and secured their place in the Berlin final.

As two of the most recognizable and storied teams in European football, Bayern Munich and Barcelona share far more than world-class coaches, players, titles, and statistics.

Barcelona's list, which included 26 players was:

Ter Stegen, Semedo, Pique, Rakitic, Busquets, Suarez, Messi, Dembele, Neto, Linglet, Griezmann, Alba, Braithwaite, Serge Roberto, De Young, Vidal, Verbo, Inaki Pina, Ricky Puig, Ansu Fati, Araujo, Moncho, Minguisa, Conrad, Reese, Alejandro.

The Coronavirus pandemic forced the Confederation of the Game to complete the Champions League competitions in the form of a mini-tournament in the Portuguese capital Lisbon, starting from the quarter-finals, with a knockout system from one match, until the final scheduled for the 23rd of August.
