BA Director, Philippine Ambassador Discuss Co-op in Cultural Sector

Dr. Mostafa El Feki, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA), welcomed Philippine Ambassador to Egypt Ezzedine H. Tago, at his office on 9th February 2022.

At the outset of the meeting, Dr. El Feki praised the strong and peaceful relations between Egypt and the Philippines, noting that the two countries recently celebrated 75 years of bilateral relations.

On his part, Tago underscored his intention to further strengthen the bonds of friendship between the two nations by exploring cooperation opportunities in various fields, especially in cultural sector.

In this regard, Philippine Ambassador underlined the important role played by the Bibliotheca Alexandrina in highlighting the commonalities between cultures.

In the same context, Dr. El Feki highlighted the rich history of the BA and its most recent achievements, pointing out to the institutions efforts to establish partnerships between institutions and leaders working in the fields of Science, Arts and Culture.

During the meeting, Dr. El Feki invited Philippine ambassador to visit the Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
