Avril Lavigne Re-Recorded "Warrior" in Honour of Coronavirus Frontlines

Canadian-French singer Avril Lavigne is working on a special project, in honour of the front-line workers of the coronavirus pandemic.

On April 19, Lavigne announced on social media that in a lengthy-post that have been so inspired seeing everyone turn into warriors during this time.

"I’m working on a special project and I would love you to be a part of it. I want to see how you’re fighting your way through this. Are you or your loved ones on the frontlines working in hospitals, as firefighters, in the military, in the police force, in the grocery stores, ubers, delivering mail, working a counter? ," she added.

Lavigne stated that she wants to see how everyone is fighting back and how are they being a Warrior, and asked fans to send her some videos of the warrior in their family, or a picture with a sign saying who are their front lines warrior is!

"I want to shine a light on all your stories⁣⁣. Thank you to each and every one of you. I am with you and together “We are Warriors”⁣⁣" she concluded.

In a new post on Instagram, Lavigne pointed out that she wanted to get involved and contribute, saying: "I got to work in the studio and I want to dedicate this to all of you."

She continued: "I re-recorded Warrior to reflect our current world and all the amazing heroic things you’re all doing. To all the hospital workers, postal service people, grocery store workers, police and firemen, every single one of you who has had their world shaken. This is for you.⁣"

Lavigne revealed that It will be donating the net proceeds of this song to "Project Hope".

The full song will be released on Friday (April 24).

On March 5, Lavigne canceled the Asia leg of her "Head Above Water" tour, which was scheduled to kick off in Shenzhen, China, on April 23, which was followed by canceling her Europe leg tour.
