Media adviser to the Ministry of Civil Aviation Bassem Abdel-Karim denied on Thursday the closure of Cairo airspace due to bad weather.

Abdel-Karim added that news circulating on some pages of social networking sites about closing the airspace of Cairo International Airport and perting some flights to Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada airports due to harsh weather conditions is obviously unfounded.

He pointed out that the air traffic at Cairo Airport runs regularly and there is no suspension of flights, and the airport provides services to passengers in an integrated manner.

The Media Center of the Ministry of Civil Aviation calls for the necessity of checking the accuracy of news or information that causes public opinion and relying on the official data issued by the Ministry's General Office.
