Avatar 3 will be released in December 2025 globally, according to the film's producer Jon Landau.
The film's director James Cameron said during D23 that he "came 7,000 miles from New Zealand for this" before revealing the stunning first preview of the concept art for the film which culminated with the title's reveal: Avatar: Fire and Ash."
The filmmaker explained that "Fire can represent hatred, violence, trauma, possible misuse of power. Ash represents the aftermath of all of that energy, which is grief and having to live with what you've done."
Cameron also told fans that Avatar: Fire and Ash "isn't what you expect, but it's definitely what you want."
The film was supposed to be called as The Seed Bearer, before the latest change to Fire and Ash.
