CAIRO, Jan.24 (SEE) The AUC's Kamal Adham Center for Television and Electronic Journalism organized a graduation ceremony of the 2018 Master's Thesis at Tahrir campus. The celebration witnessed honoring veteran media figure Sanaa Mansour for her great media career.

During her speech, Mansour, presenter of TV show "Ambassador Aziza" broadcast on DMC satellite channel, said that she began her life from scratch.

"My first progress was when my photo was placed in the University magazine," she said.

Mansour noted that she worked for state-run Al-Ahram newspaper and State News Agency, MENA, before being awarded a 750-frank Sorbonne scholarship in France in 1986.

"At that time, the rubbish-collector man received a salary of 1000 frank, while I took less which forced me to work as a baby-sitter to earn more money," she added.

She revealed that she spent three years in France and she contributed to establishment of "Monte Carlo" Radio and News Network.

Commenting on the current situation of the Egyptian media, she wondered "what will media schools' graduates work after closing many media outlets."

"I owe my media instructors like Amal Fahmi and Taher Abou Zeid a lot".

She revealed that Abou Zeid used to call her a "natural extension of Baba Sharo", which was the alias for media figure Mohamed Mahmoud Shaban.

Mansour thanked the AUc's administration, notably the chairman, Professor Ehab Abdel Rahman and Ambassador Nabil Fahmi who heads the International Relations College.
