Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has scooped the EA SPORTS Player of the Month award for September on Friday.

Aubameyang won this award after a  public referendum on the Premier League official website, which was then combined with those of the 20 club captains plus a panel of football experts to decide the winner.

The vote allowed the Gunners' forward to beat Trent Alexander-Arnold, Kevin De Bruyne, Riyad Mahrez, John McGinn, Ricardo Pereira, Son Heung-min and Callum Wilson.

The 30-year-old player was awarded this prize due to his illustrious performance with the Ginners as he netted five goals in all the Arsenal games during this month.

This season, he scored seven goals with the Gunners. The Gabon international's strikes followed the footsteps of the other Gunners players, who won this prize many times before, such as Dennis Bergkamp and Thierry Henry, who won it four times.
