Under the slogan of "fighting corruption through effective and efficient judicial systems", the African Union’s Consultative Council celebrates the "African Anti-Corruption Day".

On this day in 2003, the Union adopted the Convention on Preventing and Combating Corruption through cooperation among member states in the field of preventing and combating corruption.

Under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Egypt has been keen on supporting the African continent's efforts to combat corruption, cooperating in the fields of democracy and social development, and ratified this agreement in January 2017.

In the same context, Egypt continues its efforts to combat corruption at the continental level.
