Athens' "Philia Forum" Enhances Stability in Mediterranean Region

On Thursday, the foreign ministries who took part at the "Philia Forum" in Athens asserted that the discussions of the forum aimed at enhancing the stability of the Mediterranean region.

The forum witnessed the participation of Egypt, Bahrain, UAE, KSA, Greece, and Cyprus foreign ministries.

The Greek Foreign Minister Dendias underscored that the "Forum of Friendship" talks are not against a certain state, adding that cooperation in various fields such as culture, and energy in addition to combining efforts for attaining peace in the region are the main topics of the forum.

On his side, Egyptian foreign ministry Sameh Shoukry indicated that Egypt's cooperation with Greece and Cyprus strengthening the countries' ability to face various political and economic challenges, highlighting that this cooperation is not against any party.

Shoukry initiated his official visit to Athens on Wednesday by holding bilateral talks with his Greek counterpart Dendias.

Both ministries exchanged points of view regarding regional issues, alongside underlining the importance of boosting bilateral cooperation.
