Aston Villa midfielder Boubacar Kamara will be out for almost two months after he suffered from a knee ligament damage.
He will not be able to take part in the 2022 World Cup.
The France international is one of best players among Villa’s squad since moving to them in summer from Ajax.
The player suffered from this injury during his side’s 1-0 win over Southampton.
“I’m worried about it,” Villa boss Steven Gerrard said after the match.
Kamara played three matches with France and he was called up for France’s Nations League matches before suffering the injury.
The 29-year-old centre-back moved from Sevilla to Aston Villa in a deal valued £26m in June and he started among the starting line-up in Villa’s two opening matches.
