Assala Working on New Album

Syrian megastar, Assala Nasri is working on a new album.

The album will include Egyptian and Gulf dialect songs as well as two Lebanese tracks.

"I love to include all dialects that I sing in my albums," she said in a statement.

The Syrian megastar’s released her last album “La Tastaslim” (Do not Give Up) in September 2021.

In the album, Assala cooperated with a large number of poets and composers, including Badr Abdel Mohsen, Azouf, Muhammad Abu Nimah, Yasser Buali, Muhammad bin Abdulaziz, and Saudi bin Muhammad al-Abdullah al-Faisal.

On the other hand, Nasri is slated to perform live at the Cairo International Conference Centre, in Nasr City, Egypt, on Friday, May 27.

She is set to perform popular and latest songs.

The superstar is considered one of the best female singers in the Middle East. She made her music debut with the 1991 album “Law Ta’rafou”.

The album featured four songs in the oriental operatic tarab style. It was an instant hit with heartbreaking songs like “Ya Sabra Yana” and “Samehtak Ketir”.

She quickly proved her presence in a growing industry brimming with new, young talent such as Saber Rebai, Angham, and Abdelmajeed Abdullah.
