Assala Nasri Tops YouTube with “Gabo Serto”

Syrian megastar, Assala Nasri’s new lyrics video “Gabo Serto” has achieved a great success by ranking no. 1 on Egypt’s YouTube trending list after she released it on August 27.

 

Gabo Serto is by the lyrics of Abdulrahman Mohamed and composed by Midian.

The track is from her new album “Fi Orbak” (Near you).

 

Assala’s last released album is “Mohtamma Bel Tafasil”, which was released on August 15, 2017.

 

Mohtamma Bel Tafasil features 12 tracks.

 

The megastar made her acting debut co-starring as a guest appearance in film “Welad Rizk 2” (Sons of Rizk 2), which premiered during Eid al-Adha holidays.

 

The film is considered to be one of the strongest films competing during the Eid, especially since many celebrities are making a guest appearance including Asser Yassin, Tara Emad, Sawsan Badr, Ghada Adel, Nesreen Amin, Reem Moustafa, Dhaffer L’Abidine, and Eyad Nassar.

 

Welad Rizk 2 co-starring Ahmed Ezz, Amr Youssef, Ahmed El Fishawy, Ahmed Dawood, Mohamed Mamdouh, Khaled El Sawy, Karim Kassem, Nesreen Amin, and others.

 

The film is written by Salah El Gehiny and directed by her husband, Tarek Al Eryan.

 

This comes after the great success the film’s predecessor had achieved, which premiered in 2015.

 

Nasri, born on May 15, 1969, is a Syrian singer and TV host.

 

She was born in Damascus to a middle-class couple, her father Moustafa Nasry, was a well-known Syrian composer and singer.

 

The Syrian megastar began her musical career by performing patriotic, religious and children’s songs when she was four years old.

 

She sang the theme song “Qessas al-Sho’oub (Stories of People”) of the cartoon show “Hekaayat ‘aalamiyah” (Global tales).

 

Assala made her musical debut in 1993 with “Law te’rafou” (If you know). The album had four songs in the oriental operatic TARAB style composed by great Egyptian composers.

 

She quickly cemented her presence in a growing industry brimming with new, young talents like Najwa Karam, Saber Rebai, Angham, and Abdelmajeed Abdullah.

 

Assala booked herself a place along with the Arab singing legends among great albums through two decades.

 

Among her most famous albums are “Eghdab” (Get angry), “Wala tessadda” (Do not believe), “Alby beyertahlak (My heart feels at home with you), “Ya mag-noun” (Oh madman), “Moshtaa’a” (I am missing you), ” Yameen Allah” (I swear), “Add al-horouf” (As much as letters), “Hayaaty” (My life), “Noss haala” (A half situation) and “Kanoun kaifek” (The law of your fancy).
