The Artistic Gymnastics World Cup kicked off at Cairo Stadium today.
293 players from 70 countries participate in the tournament, the largest number of countries in the World Cup tournaments represented by all world champions.
Dr. Ehab Amin, President of the Egyptian and African Gymnastics Federations and a member of the Executive Office of the International Federation, expressed his happiness with Egypt's hosting of the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup qualifying for the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Amin said that what is happening on the land of Egypt now was a dream that began 4 years ago to hold the largest sporting event in the game and qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympics.
The International Gymnastics Federation granted Egypt the right to host the tournament for three consecutive years in 2022, 2023 and 2024 with Qatar, Germany and Azerbaijan.
