Press secretary of the Defense Minister of Armenia Shushan Stepanyan announced that Azerbaijan targeted one of the hospitals in Nagorno-Karabakh where civilians are receiving medical treatment.

“This is a violation of the humanitarian ceasefire and gross violation of international humanitarian law,” Stepanyan tweeted on Wednesday.

It’s noteworthy that heavy fighting erupted in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict as Russia tries to shore up a ceasefire agreed by Yerevan and Baku last weekend.

Azerbaijan says it has destroyed missile sites inside Armenia which it claims were used to target civilian areas, and its president has said military operations are continuing, according to the BBC.

Nagorno-Karabakh is internationally recognized as part of Azerbaijan, but the enclave is controlled by ethnic Armenians.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on Tuesday that Turkey is inciting Azerbaijan to continue fighting in the Nagorno-Karabakh region.

“Turkey is trying to expand its influence in South Caucasus by intervening in the conflict between Yerevan and Baku,” Azerbaijan revealed, according to Al Arabiya.

He added that Azerbaijan will continue fighting as long as Turkey wants that, noting:” the concessions from both sides will solve the crisis.”

Noteworthy, no prisoners’ or dead bodies’ swap has been announced; this is one of the terms of the humanitarian ceasefire reached by Moscow.
