A high-level delegation from the Arab League (AL) headed on Monday to Algeria on a two-day official visit.

The delegation, headed by Assistant AL Secretary General Hossam Zaki, is set to prepare, and coordinate with the Algerian committee, in charge of supervising the preparations for the upcoming Arab summit, to ensure its success, and facilitate the participation of all member states' delegations.

It is worth mentioning that Algerian Foreign Minister (FM) Ramtane Lamamra arrived in Cairo on Saturday to discuss the latest preparations ahead of the upcoming Arab summit, set to be held in Algeria.

The Arab summit was postponed for two years due to the Coronavirus pandemic, as it was scheduled for March 2020.
