Arab-Japanese Economic Forum to Be Held in Cairo Next Week

Within the framework of supporting and enhancing joint Arab-Japanese economic cooperation, the fifth session of the Arab-Japanese Economic Forum will be held on 09/09/2019 at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Cairo.

It will be a good opportunity to promote investment in the Arab and Japanese markets and showcase the available investment opportunities.

The actual launch of the forum will be preceded by an expanded meeting of Arab and Japanese experts and officials to discuss all the details of the forum.

It will include activities, working sessions with the participation of a number of Arab and Japanese ministers. Labor institutions of joint Arab action will discuss areas of joint cooperation in many areas.

It will also include persity in Arab-Japanese relations and promotion of investment opportunities, energy, environment and infrastructure.

A series of face-to-face meetings between businessmen participating in the Forum will be held. It will include Workshops including human resources development, scientific research and innovation besides manufacturing, technology, energy, climate change and green economy.

Within the scope of promoting investment in Arab and Japanese markets and presenting investment opportunities, the following two events will be held on Monday 9 September 2019:

  • Japan - Arab Economic Forum in the Nile Ritz Carlton Cairo from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
  •  Japan-Arab Political Dialogue (The 2nd dialogue since 2017) from 5:00 pm to 8:45 pm.

Around 200 participants from both Japan and the Arab League will to participate in the two events, including:

  • Arab Ambassadors / Permanent Representatives of Arab States in Cairo.
  • Businessmen from Egyptian companies, officials from Egypt`s Ministry of Economy, and members of the Egyptian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
  • Companies from Arab countries and officials of the Economic Department of the Arab League.
  • Business persons from the Japanese companies; Japan Cooperation Center for the Middle East (JCCME), Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), etc.
  • Japanese businessmen, Japan Cooperation Center for the Middle East (JCCME), Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), etc.
  • Businessmen from the Union of Arab Chambers (UAC), Federation of Arab Businessmen (FAB), and relevant Arab specialized organizations.
