The Arab coalition destroyed on Saturday an explosive-laden drone launched by the Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia from Yemen, towards Saudi Arabia's Jazan.

In a statement, the coalition forces have affirmed that the military operation came is in compliance with international humanitarian law and its customary rules, according to Al-Arabiya news website.

"Houthi militia attempt to target civilians and civilian objects, yet these attempts have been repelled and thwarted," the statement added.

Last month, Saudi Arabia confirmed that one of its oil storage yards at the Ras Tanura port was targeted by a Houthi drone attack on a petroleum tank farm at Ras Tanura port, according to a statement from a source at the Kingdom’s Energy Ministry.

The attack did not result in any injury or loss of life or property, authorities from Saudi Arabia’s Energy Ministry confirmed.

“The source from the Saudi Arabian Energy Ministry said that the Kingdom affirms that these sabotage attacks are a flagrant violation of all international laws and norms, and that, to the extent that they are treacherous and cowardly targeting the Kingdom, they target, to a greater extent, the global economy,” a statement released by the Saudi Press Agency read.
