AP to Hold Emergency Meeting on Israeli Attacks in Jerusalem

The Arab Parliament (AP) will hold an emergency session next  19 May 2021 in Cairo, Egypt over Israeli attacks in Jerusalem.

 

The meeting will discuss the persistent violations committed by the Israeli occupation authorities in the occupied city of Jerusalem, storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and repeated attacks against the Palestinian people, in addition to the forcible displacement of the residents of occupied Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah, and the continuation of the settlement policy in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The AP speaker Adel AbdulRahman Al-Asoomi emphasized that the convening of this emergency session proceeds from the AP's national responsibility in championing the Palestinian cause as the first Arab issue, defending the rights of the Palestinian people, stopping the ongoing crimes committed by the occupying power (Israel) against the Palestinians and supporting all their rights foremost of which is the establishment of their independent Palestinian State with Jerusalem as its capital.
