AP Bureau Approves President's Proposal- Fully Digital Transformation by 2022

The Bureau of the Arab Parliament (AP) declared its consent to the proposal submitted by Adel Bin AbdulRahman Al-Asoomi the President of the AP to the fully digital transformation of the AP by 2022, to keep pace with successive and accelerated electronic developments, and in compliance with universal standards in parliamentary work.

The proposal aims to realize a qualitative leap in the inclusiveness of the information provided by the AP to all its followers.

This approval was made during the meeting of the AP Bureau headed by Al-Asoomi on 18 September 2021 at the Headquarters of the General Secretariat of the AP in Cairo. It was attended by the members of the Bureau and employees of the General Secretariat.

In this respect, Al-Asoomi emphasized the importance of this step aimed at providing the best and most efficient services and organizing the internal work of Members of the AP and its General Secretariat.

He noted that this project will provide a comprehensive and integrated platform with all data and information available that is easily and quickly accessible and will create greater interaction with the work and activities of the AP.

Furthermore, it will assist in the conduct of committees and sessions meetings through the presentation of topics to be discussed through the computer in the sessions Hall and the transmission of the session proceedings via screens to serve members, attendees and media professionals, besides the use of modern electronic software recording all session discussions.

The Members of the Bureau of the AP expressed their interest in the proposal of Al-Asoomi in the light of the AP's quest to improve the efficiency of parliamentary work and the application of global best practices in the parliamentary system and modern technology.

They affirmed that there will be an unprecedented surge in the work of the AP in its new phase and its interaction with all and its many and concrete activities at the international and regional levels.
