Antiquities Ministry: Separate Ticket for Baron Empain Palace’s Roof

The Board of Directors of the Supreme Council of Antiquities has agreed to open the roof of the Baron Empain Palace in Heliopolis district for visitors, with a separate ticket.

Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, Dr. Mustafa Waziri, said that in preparation for the imminent opening of the Baron Empain Palace after the completion its restoration work to become an exhibition that tells the history of Heliopolis district.

The Board of Directors of the Supreme Council of Antiquities agreed to open the roof of the palace to let the visitors enjoy the amazing designs and the wonderful artistic effects of the roof, in addition to watching the stunning panoramic view of the area surrounding the palace which overlooks the palace of Sultana Malak, the wife of Sultan Hussein Kamel.

“The visitors can purchase a separate ticket for visiting the roof only at a flat rate of EGP 50 for the foreign visitors and EGP 20 for the Egyptian ones,” Waziri revealed.

For the visitors of the palace, Waziri pointed out that the ticket price is EGP 100 for the foreign visitors, EGP 50 pounds for the foreign student, EGP 20 for the Egyptian visitor and EGP 10 for the Egyptian student.

Noteworthy, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities has so far completed more than 97% of Baron Palace restoration project.
