Antiquities Min. Inspects Kafr El-Sheikh Museum Before Inauguration

A delegation from the ministry of tourism and antiquities visited Kafr El-Sheikh Museum on Sunday. They inspected various projects at the museum that are scheduled to be opened after the outbreak of Coronavirus.

The delegation included Brigadier Hesham Samir, Assistant Minister of Antiquities for Engineering Affairs and General Supervisor of Historic Cairo, Professor Ahmed Obaid, Assistant Minister of Sector Affairs the Minister’s Office, and Dr. Moamen Mohamed Othman. Head of Museums Sector at the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.

They inspected the developments of construction works at Kafr El-Sheikh Museum. This was started by passing through the general site surrounding the museum and following up on the implementation of the works by raising the efficiency of the surrounding streets and showing the main entrance to the museum.

The visit also included coordinating the site inside the museum and reviewing the progress of the work.

They also followed up the completion of construction and architectural work at the museum in preparation for its inauguration.

Samir directed the necessity of completing the works faster while maintaining the quality assurance as well as completing the lighting and final touches of the interior finishes as required and at the specified times.

He also stressed the need to complete the experiments on the fire alarm system.

On his part, Obaid pointed out the necessity of completing the work of equipping and furnishing the halls.

He expressed some ideas regarding the uses of blanks to fit in line with the aesthetic value and the importance of the museum at the regional level.

Othman stressed on setting a path for the visit that suits the works of the museum display, the display scenario of the artifacts, and the methods of fixing them.
