Angham, born on January 19, 1972, is an Egyptian singer, record producer, and actress. She is considered one of the best female singers in Egypt and the Arab world.
The superstar sang as a child, heralding the birth of a new musical generation. She made her debut in 1987 under the guidance of her father, prominent Egyptian musician Mohamed Ali Suleiman in the late 1980s, before embarking on her independent path.
She performed in public during Cairo’s Radio syndicate ceremony for the first time, as they were looking for new voices to artistically adopt them.
Upon finishing high school, Angham joined the Conservatory of Music where she studied the basics of music, improved her voice’s capacities, and learned how to play the traditional piano and Oud.
The acclaimed singer’s fame in the music scene has led her to experiment with other forms of media, such as film-making.
In 1994, she made her acting debut in the romantic comedy play “Leila Men Alf Leila” (Night of a Thousand Nights) featuring veteran actor Yehia elFakharany and singer-actor Ali El Haggar.
While the project was huge but it did not continue for more than two months and was not aired on television.
