Algerian Diplomat Appointed as Assistant Secretary-General of Arab League

On Wednesday, Algeria announced the appointment of Mohand Salih Lajoozi, as Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab League.

In a statement, the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that this came by a decision of the Council of the Arab League at its 157th ministerial session held today in Cairo.

Notably, Lajoozi is an Algerian diplomat who held several important positions, the last of which was Algeria's ambassador to Oman, and to Egypt. He was also appointed as Algeria's permanent representative to the Arab League.
