Algeria: Torrential Rain to Batter Different Provinces

Meteorological Authorities in Algeria warned that torrential rains, and thunderstorms will batter different provinces, starting from Friday.

The rainfall will affect the provinces of Boumerdes, Tizi Ouzou, Bejaia, Jijel, Skikda, Annaba, Tarif, Guelma, Souk Ahras, Constantine, Mila and Sétif.

The rainfall amount will exceed 50 mm in the central and eastern regions.

Rain is believed to fall at nine o'clock at night on Friday, continuing until six o'clock in the tomorrow evening, Saturday.

On Monday, the Meteorological Authorities warned that the country may expose to a cold wave, noting that temperatures have reached 5 below zero in some provinces.

“Temperatures will not exceed 5 degrees below zero this morning and 6 degrees in the afternoon in El Bayadh and Naama provinces” Algerian newspaper “Ennahar” quoted a source.
