The members of the General Assembly of the Algerian Football Federation approved on Thursday, the resignation of President Amara charaf-eddine, and six members of his executive office, against the background of failing to qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The members of the General Assembly also unanimously approved the moral and financial outcomes for the year 2021.
Sharafeddine Amara was elected president of the Algerian Federation on April 15, 2021, to succeed Kheïreddine Zetchi and announced his resignation after the Algerian team failed to qualify for the world cup.
The Algerian Federation will hold an electoral general assembly on July 7 to elect a new president and executive office.
