Al-Wazir Follows up Implementation of Monorail Project in New Capital

Minister of Transport Kamal Al-Wazir toured on Saturday the light rail transport (LRT) and monorail projects in the New Administrative Capital.

Al-Wazir inspected the central 15-feddan Adly Mansour intersection station, which will include an integrated transportation complex and a commercial investment area. It also includes a third line metro station, LRT, railway station, Super Jet station, and shuttle bus station.

He was briefed on the progress of work on the Monorail project in the New Capital, which extends for 56.5 kilometers and is pided into 22 stations.

The minister explained that the total length of the two monorail lines in the New Capital and 6th of October City is 98.5 Km, with 34 stations, adding that this project is being implemented by a consortium that includes Orascom, Arab Contractors, and Bombardier.
