'Al Quran Al Kareem' radio was circulated in thousands of tweets and posts during the last two days on social networking sites (Twitter and Facebook.)

This came after the spread of the stand up comedy video by a satirical actor named Muhammad Ashraf. He mocked the performance of some of the broadcasters of Al Quran Al Kareem radio.

Although this video was posted more than 8 months ago on YouTube, it was posted during the last two days on Facebook. Although it disappeared from YouTube, it was posted more than once on other social media sites.

Some tweeterers are among those who reject criticizing the broadcasters' performance and while others support the ridicule of the performance of broadcasters.

The hashtag “# Support_Al Quran_Al_Kareem_radio” topped the most popular Twitter hashtags in Egypt. More than 13000 tweets were talking about it.

The tweeterers were pided between those who stood next to Ashraf as being just a comedian who did not attack the radio but only criticized the radio performance, and those who considered this video an offense.

In successive repercussions and a huge escalation that occurs within a few hours, Ashraf can be held accountable on many charges, the most important of which is contempt for religions.

Although the video did not ridicule sheikhs or dealt with specific broadcasters but rather commented on the style of some of them. Public opinion tends to consider what happened an attack against Islam itself and not against a group of broadcasters on an Egyptian channel.
