Al-Mashat Partakes in Zooba's New Branch Opening in NY

Tourism Minister Dr. Rania Al-Mashat partook in the soft opening of Zooba's new branch at one of New York's trendiest districts.

Zooba is a renowned Egyptian street food restaurant chain which opened several branches here in Egypt.

In this regard, Al-Mashat said: "Such opening will aim to promote Egyptian tourism by offering traditional Egyptian dishes, a matter which transfers the Egyptian experience across the borders."

The minister pointed out that opening such these restaurants comes as a part of PeopletoPeople campaign which spots light on the successful Egyptians who are outstanding in several fields like cooking, adding that it offers an aspect of the Egyptian culture.

"Culinary arts became one of the tourist attractions for some countries. The traditional food dishes show each country's identity. In addition, the traditional food became a part of the experience which any tourist search for," She added.

It is worth noting that PeopletoPeople is one of the three axes on which marketing and promotion axis relies as it is part of Egypt-Tourism Reform Program (E-TRP).

Earlier, Al-Mashat headed for New York to participate in the Sustainable Development Impact summit of the World Economic Forum (WEF), held on Monday and Tuesday.
