Culture Min. Inaugurates Micro Enterprises Exhibition in Al- Gezira Club

Dr. Enas Abdel Dayem, Minister of Culture, inaugurated, on the last Saturday, the exhibition of micro enterprises at Al Gezira Club, which is organized by Cairo Rotary.

The opening ceremonies were attended by Osama Al-Ahmar, Governor of the Rotary District, Engineer Amr Jazzarin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Jazira Club and a large number of Rotary members.

Abdel Dayem said that handicrafts industry and the small and micro industries, are one of the fields that the state pays special attention to, because it represents a pivot axe of the sustainable development in Egypt's 2030 vision.

She added that the cooperation between the governmental institutions and civil society achieves the state’s plans aiming at providing job opportunities and improving citizen’s income.

She emphasized that developing and preserving the handicrafts and heritage are one of the axes of the Ministry of Culture's strategy.

Furthermore, she hailed the Egyptian handmade products and their materials, noting that the exhibition is one of the means to support the heritage and handmade industries.

It is noteworthy that the exhibition includes 120 exhibitors of handicrafts, weaving, carpets, pottery, copper, jewelry, burning on leather, stained glass, in addition to the products of the civil society institutions in the governorates of Aswan, Luxor, and a number of Upper Egypt governorates.
