Al- Asmarat to See First Mobile Theaters

Yesterday, the residents of Al-Asmarat praised Dr. Enas Abdel Dayem, Minister of Culture for launching the national project for cultural justice represented in the mobile theaters, starting from Al-Asmarat District; they also thanked the Ministry of Culture for providing a lot of various cultural and artistic activities.

Abdel Dayem launched the first “mobile theaters” caravan activities in Al-Asmarat District.

The ceremonies were attended by Dr. Ahmed Awad, Head of the General Association of Cultural Palaces and his deputy Hisham Atwa, artist Ahmed El Shafei, head of the Central Department for Artistic Affairs in the Culture Palaces organization.

At the same time, the minister followed up the start of the mobile theaters activities in 5 other governorates: Dakahlia, Mit Ghorab village, Markaz al-Senbillawin,” Aswan, “al-Balana village, Nasr al-Nuba center,” South Sinai, “Jubail village, Budyan, city of al-Tur, Assiut, Markaz al-Fath, al-Beheira, Markaz Abu al-Matamir villages.

Abdel Dayem said that the Ministry of Culture’s work aims to confront intolerance and correct the extremist ideas in the villages and cities, adding that the conveys of “the mobile theaters” will roam all over Egypt to reshape awareness, spread enlightenment and correct behavior through various creative programs ,including all forms of culture and art.

She noted that this project is considered to be one of the ways to achieving cultural justice, symbolizing an innovative platform for marketing the cultural product in the border areas and the most needy areas.

It is worthy of note that the minister had inspected “the mobile theaters services”.

She greeted those in charge of their program.

On his part, the head of the Culture Palaces Association clarified that the mobile theaters are equipped with the latest sound and lighting system, adding that each of the six main cultural regions is hosting the mobile theater project, presenting cultural, intellectual, creative and artistic programs to all segments of society.

He added that the mobile theaters were executed totally by the Egyptian hands.

The celebration included presenting: a varied musical performance by Al- Fayoum Arabic Music Ensemble, creative poetry and literature sessions for a number of promising talents in the Tahya Misr Culture Palace in Asmarat.

It is noteworthy that the first convoys of mobile theaters began in Asmarat district -in Cairo with 5 other governorates: Dakahlia, Mit Ghorab village, Sinbillawin center, Aswan, Balana village, Nasr al-Nuba center, South Sinai, Jubail village, Boudian, Al-Tour city, Assiut,” Rizqa village, Markaz al-Qawsa, Deir Al-Muharraq and Al-Beheira villages of Abu Al-Matamir Center- each of these theaters will settle in every village for three or four days, then it will move to another region or village within the governorate.
