After two decades of absence, Luxor is set to host Opera Aida in October 2019 under the sponsorship of the Ministry Of Culture.

The Upper-Egyptian City will receive delegations from various world countries to attend two performances of Opera Aida at the courtyards of Queen Hatshepsut Temple on October 26 and 28.

Many international and Egyptian companies are involved in the project implementation. It is planned that more than 100 musicians and singers from Ukraine will take part in the performance.

The event will represent a mix of music and signing on the land of history and civilization.

Aida’s return to Egypt is a message of peace that will be sent to all world countries.

Our goal is to make Opera Aida as an annual event on the world agenda of tourism.

Aida is among the most popular operatic works performed in Egypt, and its history features a series of remarkable performances and events commemorating the opera and the composer.

Aida was performed at the opera for many years. It was directed by the late Abdel-Moneim Kamel with the Cairo Opera Company, the Cairo Opera Ballet Company, the Cairo Opera Orchestra, and the Cairo Opera Choir.
