Ahmed Hatem's “Ashek” Gets Release Date

The release date for Egyptian actor Ahmed Hatem's new film “Ashek” (Smitten) has been revealed.

The film is scheduled to be released during the mid-year vacation.

The cast also includes Mohsen Mohiedine, Asma Abulyazeid, Karim Kassem, and others.

It is scripted by Mahmoud Zahran and directed by Amro Salah.

“Ashek” features Hatem as an addiction medicine physician who falls in love with an addicted woman (Abulyazeid). They get married and face many problems.

The project marks the second collaboration between Hatem and Abulyazeid after the 2021 star-studded film “Qamar 14” (Full Moon).

It also starred Khaled El Nabawy, Shereen Reda, Ghada Adel, Arfa Abdel Rassoul, Ahmed Bedier, Ahmed Malek, Bayoumi Fouad, May El Ghety, Yasmin Raeis, Ahmed El Fishawy, and others.

It is penned by Mahmoud Zahran and directed by Hadi El Bagoury.

The film takes place on a lunar night where the societal beliefs that kill love are unveiled through five different love stories.

Moreover, Hatem is set to star in the film “Hadath Bil Qahera”.

The film is written by Omar Gamal and directed by Ahmed Abdullah Saleh.

He is also attached to star in the star-studded film “Baad Saat Fi Youm Ma”.

It also stars Hannah El Zahed, Mai Omar, Khaled Anwar, Aïcha Ben Ahmed, Huda El Mufti, Hesham Maged, and others.

The film is based on Mohamed Sadek’s novel of the same title. Filmmaker Othman Abo Labn is directing the project from a script written by Sadek.
