Ahmed Ezz’s Play “Aladdin” to Be Staged at Cairo Show on Sept. 16

Egyptian director Magdy El Hawary revealed Tuesday that Ahmed Ezz's new play "Aladdin" will be restaged at the Cairo Show theater, starting September 16.

El Hawary made the announcement during a press conference for his new play “Yama Fel Gerab Ya Hawy” at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina theater.

The play also stars Eyad Nassar, Mohamed El Sharnouby, Carmen Soliman, Nasser Seif, and others.

It is produced by the Cairo Show theater and based on Bayram al-Tunisi’s masterpiece novel “A Night of a Thousand Nights” and contains the same exciting and charming atmosphere.

The play is set to be staged on Tuesday at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina theater and at the Marquee theater in Cairo Festival City, on August 26.

"Aladdin", which was first staged on February 6, 2020, also stars Tara Emad, Mohamed Tharwat, Hisham Ismail, Karim Afifi, Mohamed Gomaa, Samy Maghawry, and Islam Ibrahim.

The play is scripted by a writing workshop that consists of Hassan El Mahdi, Mohamed Galal, Mohamed Talaat, Ahmed Chico, and Diaa Mohamed.
