Afghanistan: Two Judges Shot Dead in Kabul

This morning, gunmen opened fire on a car carrying two female judges working for the Supreme Court, in Kabul, capital of Afghanistan.

The incident took place in Taimani district, Police District 4 of the city.

The court supreme Ahmad Fahim Qaweem said that the attack happened as they were heading to their office.

“Unfortunately we have lost two women judges in today’s attack. Their driver is wounded,” Qaweem said.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Taliban militant group has conducted scores of targeted attacks against civilians and military officials in recent years. The armed outfit considers anyone working for the government, NATO, and U.S.-led troops as a target.
