Abu Zeid Reviews Egypt's Experience in Confronting Covid-19

Egypt's Ambassador to Canada Ahmed Abu Zeid reviewed on Tuesday the Egyptian experience in facing the Covid-19 pandemic, during the annual conference of the John Molson College of International Business at Canadian Concordia University, which was held virtually and opened by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

The conference discussed the countries experiences in dealing with the repercussions of theCovid-19 pandemic, and the impact of the pandemic on diplomatic work and international economic relations.

Meanwhile, Abu Zeid noted that he was keen to review the various aspects of the Egyptian experience in dealing with the crisis, starting with developing and implementing an integrated plan which deals with the economic, social and health repercussions of the pandemic, in addition to implementing all precautionary measures with the participation of the concerned state agencies.

He also pionted out to the leading efforts at the regional and international levels to ensure that the demands of African and developing countries are met, and that they secure their rights in equal access to medical and economic support to confront the pandemic.

Moreover, Abu Zaid highlighted the specificity of the Egyptian experience in achieving a balance between the implementation of the necessary precautionary measures and the best international practices to provide health protection for the Egyptian citizen.
