Abu Dhabi CP Grants President Sisi ‘Order of Zayed’

Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan granted Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi “Order of Zayed, which is considered the highest civil decoration named after Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

The order comes in appreciation of the strong historical and close ties between Egypt and the UAE, in addition to El-Sisi’s great efforts in establishing such relations in all fields, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said.

During the visit, President Sisi held talks with Mohamed Bin Zayed, in the presence of delegations of both countries.

Abu Dhabi CP welcomed El-Sisi in his second homeland, confirming that Egypt and UAE relations are special. He also hailed Egypt’s pivotal role in providing support to all Arab and Gulf countries, adding that it will remain a cornerstone for safety and security of the Arab World.

Bin Zayed also stressed his country’s keenness to enhance bilateral relations with Egypt at all levels and provide help to Egyptians living in the UAE.

On his part, President El-Sisi, expressed his deep thanks to his holiness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of UAE, and his Crown Prince for granting him such order, hoping that coming years will witness further development and progress in a way that meets the aspirations of peoples.

Egypt and the UAE have a long history of military cooperation. On November 2, 2019, the two countries concluded a month of joint military drills under the title “Night Eagles,” Sisi added.

The two leaders witnessed the signing of three agreements and Memorandums of Understanding MoUs in the fields of manpower, taxation and insurance, in addition to an agreement between Egypt's Sovereign Wealth Fund and Abu Dhabi Developmental Holding Company to launch a joint strategic investment platform worth $ 20 billion.

The agreement aims to provide a new innovative vision for enforcing the concept of concerted efforts through the implementation of joint strategic investments to achieve a win-win economic return with a focus on economic development projects in various sectors.

The duo also discussed all means of boosting bilateral relations at all levels, as well as discussing a number of regional and international issues of mutual concern.

It is worth mentioning that El-Sisi arrived in the UAE for a two-day visit starting Wednesday, and was received by bin Zayed, at the airport.
