Head of Cleopatra Media Group prominent businessman Mohamed Aboul Enein lauded on Saturday Tourism Minister Rania Al Mashat's efforts in the international exhibitions abroad to promote tourism in Egypt in a contemporary way.

Aboul Enein's remarks came during his participation in an event of launching a new season of the documentary series about ancient Egypt, produced by Italy's MEDIASET Group. The documentary is set to be aired on the TV program “Freedom Oltre II Confine”.

"Partnership with CNN International Network sends incredible messages worldwide as well as the new discoveries, a matter which will attract tourists to visit Egypt frequently," the Egyptian-European Council president said.

He pointed out that the current phase witnessed the victory of the Egyptian media over its opponents worldwide, adding that Egypt's image abroad had been improved in the fields of investment, tourism, and security.

"Egypt's share of global tourism should not be less than 20 million tourists," he stressed.

The well-known businessman asserted the importance of attracting more Italian tourists, as they are passionate about the ancient Egyptian civilization.

Regarding British tourism in Egypt, he noted that British tourists don't stop visiting Egypt, pointing to the UK suspension of flights to the Red Sea resort Sharm El Sheikh only.
