Aboul Enein Attends Dar al-Ifta Int'l Conference

On Monday, Parliament deputy speaker Mohamed Aboul El Enein attended the Dar al-Ifta International Conference held under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

Senior officials and a number of scholars and Muftis from around the world took part in the two-day event, which is held under the rubric “Fatwa Authorities in the Digital Age”.

The conference attendees discussed the challenges of development and mechanisms of cooperation.

The conference’s opening session was attended by Counselor Omar Marawan, Minister of Justice, Dr. Mohamed Mokhtar Jumaa - Minister of Awqaf - Dr. Mohamed Al-Dhaweini - Undersecretary of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, Dr. Youssef Belmahdi - Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments in Algeria, Sheikh Abdel Al-Karim Al-Khasawneh, Mufti of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Zaid, Assistant Secretary-General of the Muslim World League, Dr. Saad Hamid Kambash, Head of the Sunni Endowment Diwan in Iraq, Dr. Nasr Al-Din Mufreh and Minister of Religious Affairs and Sudanese Endowments.

The participants agreed on the need to enhance cooperation among fatwa bodies in order to achieve common goals, participate in addressing the challenges of technical development, and support digital transformation.

The conference activities include holding scientific sessions to discuss a set of important scientific research presented by a number of scholars and muftis around the world.
