Abdel Dayem Reviews Upcoming Folkloric Arts House Activities’ Plan

Within the framework of her periodic and continuous follow-up of the work inside all the sections of the Ministry, Dr. Inas Abdel Dayem, Minister of Culture, was briefed about the most important activities carried out by the artistic House for Folklore and Performing Arts headed by Adel Abdo during the second half of the artistic season 2020-2021.

Several perse activities were presented during the season, including 859 concerts attended by more than 11 thousand people, in addition to several virtual activities under the theme of the” Culture Between Your Hands” initiative that broadcast on the Ministry of Culture YouTube channel.

In addition, The National Circus has also succeeded in organizing training courses for children dedicated to “ circus arts” to be the nucleus of a new generation of artists specialized in this field – after reaching the age of 20 years old.

In the same context, The National Circus was developed, and modernized by raising its efficiency, including the modernization of lighting systems, display screens, clothes, maintenance of the devices, as well as inaugurating” 6 of October national circus” in October City after completing its development procedures.

On his part, Abdel Dayem discussed several projects to continue the development and modernization process, including presenting new shows to match the international performances, presenting additional musical instruments, and creating a mobile tent to present circus performances in the various governorates.

Also, renovating the showroom of Mohamed Abdel Wahab theater in Alexandria, and replacing, renewing, and developing Al Balloon Theater and “15 May Circus Headquarters” in May city were discussed.
