Abd El Ghaffar Opens New Int’nal Univ. in Administrative Capital

Dr. Khaled Abd El Ghaffar, the Higher Education Minister, inaugurated on Sunday the International Knowledge Universities headquarters - affiliated to the Swedish Education Foundation - which includes the branch of Coventry University in the administrative capital.

Abd El Ghaffar praised during his campus inspection tour the quality of achievement within the university, both in terms of buildings that have been designed in a modern way to keep pace with modern learning methods that rely on the continuous interaction between students and professors, as well as halls Lectures that have been equipped with the latest methods of displaying scientific information.

He said that Egypt is witnessing a major boom in the field of higher education, both in terms of the size and projects quantity being implemented in this vital sector. The projects include new Egyptian universities that enter the service for the first time or the continuous development of existing universities as well as international universities branches which present the latest scientific methods that achieve the availability concept.

On other hand, El-Suwaidi announced that the main objective of establishing knowledge universities is to keep abreast of all the developments in the world in modern sciences, and to provide unprecedented educational services in line with Egypt's vision for sustainable development 2030, in addition to arming our children with the latest scientific skills that enable them to compete in different labor markets to achieve the highest degrees of professional and scientific excellence.

Latham said that what he saw at the Coventry University branch in Egypt is no less than the quality of the mother university in Britain, expressing his happiness at the advanced level and sophistication of all equipment at the university branch in Egypt, as well as a large number of contacts, visits and direct meetings through video conference between both sides to agree on the form of the education process, implementation strategy and objectives to be achieved.

Dr. Mahmoud Allam, the International Knowledge Universities President, confirmed that graduates of Coventry University in Egypt will receive the same graduation certificate accredited by the original university, that gives graduates opportunity to work in any country around the world.
